A Privacy Pledge To Our Credit Union Members

Your credit union wants you to know about the information it collects about you, and about how this information might be used.

Information We Collect

We collect nonpublic information about you from some or all of the following sources:

Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, such as your name, address, social security number, assets and income;

Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others, such as your account balance, payment history, parties to transactions and credit card usage; and,

Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency, such as your creditworthiness and credit history.

Information We Disclose

We may disclose all of the nonpublic information about you and our former members we collect as described above.

Who May Receive This Information

We may disclose the information we collect as described above to provide high quality products and services to you.  We may disclose the information to the following types of third parties:

Financial services providers such as mortgage bankers, securities brokers/dealers, and insurance agents.

Non-financial companies such as retailers, direct marketers, and publishers.

Others, such as non-profit organizations.

Companies that perform marketing services on our behalf and/or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements.

We may also disclose nonpublic personal information about you to non-affiliated third parties as permitted by law.

Our Security Measures

We restrict access to nonpublic information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you.  We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with Federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.

You May Opt Out

If you prefer that we do not disclose nonpublic information about you to nonaffiliated third parties, you may opt out of those disclosures, that is, you may direct us not to make those disclosures (other than disclosures permitted by law).  Non-member joint account holders, co-borrowers and guarantors may exercise this right to opt out.  For joint account holders, we will treat an opt-out request as applying to everyone listed on the account unless you direct us otherwise.  If you wish to opt out of our disclosures to non-financial companies such as retailers, direct marketers, and publishers, or others such as non-profit organizations, you may call, or mail your request to us as follows:

Website Privacy Policy

United Financial Credit Union respects your right to privacy.  When you visit our website, you may be providing information to United Financial Credit Union on two different levels:  anonymous statistics collected as you browse the site and personal information you knowingly give us.

United Financial Credit Union would like to assure you that we do not:

While we gather this information, none of it is associated with you as an individual.  We use these statistics to monitor the performance of our web site and to make it easier for you and other visitors to use.

Within United Financial Credit Union, you may be asked to give us personal information in order to apply for membership, a loan, or other services, or to order checks.  Our application forms securely collect personal and financial information.  The information that we collect on our applications is used only to process your request quickly and accurately.  When you submit an application, your personal and financial information is encrypted.  To confirm that your application form is secure, look for the image of a lock or key on the bottom bar of your browser window.  If the lock is closed or the key appears whole, then you are viewing a secured page.  Otherwise, the lock may appear as open or the key appear as broken.

You can link to other websites from “ufcuonline.com”.  If you link to another website from any of our pages, you are leaving the United Financial Credit Union’s website and are linking to a website not operated by this credit union.  We cannot be held responsible for the content of the alternate website, nor do we represent either the third party or the member if the two enter into a transaction.  An alternate website’s privacy and security policies may differ from those of United Financial Credit Union.  Therefore, we encourage you to read the policies of the website reached through the use of links from the credit union website.

United Financial Credit Union does not knowingly collect, maintain or use personal information from our website about children under age 13.  If a child whom we know to be under age 13 sends personal information to us online, we will only use that information to respond directly to that child, notify parents, or seek parental consent.
