Important Change That May Limit Your Coverage on ATM and Everyday Debit Card Transactions
Your Action Is Required

We encourage good record keeping, but we realize mistakes happen to everyone - a checkbook error, an unrecorded ATM withdrawal, and so on. For years, we have striven to authorize ATM and everyday debit card transactions when insufficient funds exist in our members’ accounts. We believe this service is important and offers the following advantages:

CONVENIENCE – May allow your purchases to be approved when you have insufficient funds

EMERGENCY BACKUP – May cover unexpected expenses

A SAFETY NET – May cover reconciliation errors
But the rules have changed. Now, federal regulations require us to obtain your permission to continue this service.   Deciding whether to opt in to this overdraft service is an important decision, and we want to ensure that you are fully informed about your options.

If you decide to Opt In: ·

You DO want us to try to cover your ATM and everyday debit card transactions regardless of your account balance.

You are willing to incur the fees for this service. You’ll only incur the fees if we actually cover the overdraft for you. There’s no fee to opt in to the protection.

If we cover your overdraft, you may be saved the frustration and embarrassment of having your card declined.

Without your opt in to ATM Overdraft Service, your ATM and everyday debit card transactions may be declined if you attempt to make a transaction without sufficient funds.

Remember, there is no cost for overdraft protection. You will only incur fees in the event that you actually overdraw your account. And, if you decide to consent to opting in to this coverage, you can revoke that consent at any time.

For Existing Members - we need to hear from you before August 15, 2010.

If you do not opt in, your ATM and everyday debit card transactions will NOT be protected by this ATM Overdraft Service.

For New Members - we need to hear from you before July 1, 2010.
If you open a new account on or after July 1, 2010, you must opt in or your ATM and everyday debit card transactions will NOT be protected under this ATM Overdraft Service.
